On October 21, 2007, Ross Fire Department Engine 18 responded to a mutual aid call to combat the devastating Southern California fires. Capt. Peterson, Eng. At the October Council Meeting, provisions of the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) were discussed. The residential lots that border open space or water district lands are in a WUI zone and are more susceptible to wildland fire loss than those in other areas. (more…)
