Christa Johnson began her career in the hospitality industry working for the Pebble Beach Resorts and has over 25 years of experience as a local government manager in five different counties in California.  Her first position in the public sector was with the Alameda County Public Works Agency as a management analyst.  Prior to joining the Town of Windsor as Assistant Town Manager in 2006 she worked for the City of Alameda as the Assistant to the City Manager for eight years.  In Windsor, Christa focused on the areas of redevelopment, economic development, affordable housing development and solid waste management. Starting in September 2011, Christa became the Assistant City Manager in Laguna Beach where she oversaw several city departments, human resources, special projects and programs such as economic development, property acquisition/real estate management, and other City Council priorities. After serving the City of Del Mar as City Manager, Christa accepted the position of Town Manager in the beautiful town of Ross in Marin County.

Christa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara and a Master of Public Administration degree from San Francisco State University.  She is married and has two children.  She enjoys adventuring with her family, reading newspapers, singing and running with her dog in her spare time.
